Psycho dermatology
Psychodermatology is a new discipline in psychosomatic medicine. It is interaction between mind and skin. The two disciplines are interconnected through ectoderm at the embryonal level. There is a complex interplay between at the neuroendocrine embryonal level and immune systems. Skin responds to both exogenous and endogenous stimuli, it integrates and senses environmental transmits and cues intrinsic conditions to the outside world. Psycho neuroimmunology is expand role of hormones, neuropeptides, and neurotransmitters in psychodermatological disorders is becoming more evident.
